Hi Everyone
I have just purchased a MXQ PRO 4K Android 6.0 S905 Quad Core TV Box with the intent of using Kodi. After downloading both the Kodi PLAYARMV7A (32BIT) and the ARMV8A (64BIT) downloads I found that neither would install successfully on the TV Box I tried the 64 bit download first and then tried the 32 bit but no luck with either. Any ideas?

Apparently someone wrote a START HERE sticky thread at the top of this forum - might be an obvious place to start

It is definitely 32bit version - even these boxes are 64 bit, but Android is 32 bit version.
You can also try installing from the Google Play?

Thanks DaLanik, thats helped heaps now that I know it is the 32bit version that I need.
I can open Kodi in Googleplay and change settings etc but cannot understand how to install this on the TV box and show it as an installed app. Also Googleplay comes up and says that Kodi is ver17.1 and I need to update to ver17.3 e.g. go to the Kodi website and download it from there. I am still trying to install the 32 bit downloaded version but it wont finish the install. Could it be; 1. The android 6.0 system needs to be updated? 2. That I tried to install the 64bit version first and that this has caused some sort of issue? 3. That I installed it from a usb stick and that it wants to store all of its directories and storage on the usb stick rather than the TV BOX? I dont even know how to change this option... 4. When it ask to install Kodi do I need to select new or all? Thought this would be really simple to install an app? If anyone can help it would be really appreciated because I am just clutching at straws trying to find an answer.

Don't worry about 64 bit version - if your Android is not 64 bit, you are unable to install it.

Are you trying to install or update Kodi but receiving a “There was a problem parsing the package” error? Get the details on what it is and how to fix it below.
We’ve had an increase in users confused and frustrated because they are trying to install or update to Kodi 17.1 but are receiving the error message “there was a problem parsing the package”.
This error messages means that your version of Android is not compatible with Kodi 17. Android 4.4 is no longer supported by the newest version of Kodi and you need to have Android 5.1 or higher to install Kodi 17. If you receive the “there was a problem parsing the package error”, you have an unsupported version.
